Building Maintenance Program

This course is designed to train students to become Building Maintenance Workers or Construction Laborers. Applicants to the course need no prior experience, just a desire to do the job.
The course is split into six major training modules. They are as follows: Basic Plumbing, Remedial Carpentry, Masonry and Flooring, Construction Math and Building codes, Painting and Rigging, and Building Maintenance Tech. Each course combines both Lecture and Hands-On training to provide our students with all of the necessary skills to become succesful in the field. Students will spend the majority of their classroom training in the shop/lab area building various projects associated with the training.
As with our other full-time training programs, the Building Maintenance Training program meets Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm for a total of 21+ weeks. Night courses run from Monday to Thursday from 6:00pm to 10:00pm, for a total of 40+ weeks. Our graduates go on to positions in the building maintenance field including jobs as Construction Laborers, Bulding Superintendents and Workers, Carpenters, Masons, Painters and many other building trades positions. Many of our graduates joining the union, and/or pursue their own construction licenses with the City of New York. Classes are forming now so don't hesitate.
