January 26th Open House Announcement
New Training Courses Coming to QBITTI!
QBITTI has recently applied to NYSED:BPSS for approval of three new building trades specific safety courses, the OSHA Approved 30 Hour Safety Course, and two NYC Building Department authorized safety courses in Scaffolding and Sprinkler Systems. These courses complement our currently licensed OSHA 10 Hour Safety course, and will provide the additional endoresments necesary for many of our graduates to work on more complicated building sites. For more information please contact us at (718) 392-4156.
In March, 2013 QBITTI became a certified training partner with CompTIA. CompTIA is an internationally recognized leader in certifying PC support, networking, servers, Linux, security and IT Techs. According to their website, “A+ certification is the starting point for a career in IT. The exam covers the maintenance of PCs, mobile devices, laptops, operating systems and printers.” We agree. It has taken many years, but CompTIA has successfully standardized the skills necessary for technicians to become proficient in the maintenance and repair of computers and their peripheral equipment. This approval allows QBITTI to begin training and testing our students in order for them to become A+ certified. How does this benefit our students? Our graduates will be more competitive in the job market, have more placement opportunities, and garner higher starting wages. QBITTI will initially offer the A+ training and certification program to our Copier and Telecom students as part of their existing coursework. Eventually, we will offer the A+, and many other CompTIA certifications, as stand-alone training programs in the future. UPDATE! Our next A+ training class has been tentatively scheduled for 6/2014 through 12/2014. Training slots are limited, so please call today at (718) 392-4156 to reserve your position. Where will we be tomorrow? Find out at www.QBITTI.com
QBITTI Sponsors Blood Drives each year.
Each year QBITTI sponsors two Blood Drives for the New York Blood Center. Our last drive on January, 2014 , was a great success. The QBITTI family came together for a great drive, with many of our staff and students alike donating blood for the cause. We would also like to thank members from Material for the Arts, Quadlogic and Access a Ride for stopping down to help out.
In 2013 we will be sponsoring three Blood Drives in response to a special request made by the New York Blood Center. Our next Blood Drive is tentatively scheduled for May 30, 2014. Please make some time to stop by our facility and donate. For further details please call (718) 392-4156, or click on the link.

On September 27th, 2013 QBITTI held it's 6th Annual Charity Softball Game for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The game pits our staff, students and graduates against each other in two teams (Lightning vs. Hurricane). The Lightning Team is made up of members from our Elecricians Helper, Telecommunications and Photocopier Technician training programs. And the Water Team is made up of members from our Building Maintenance and Plumber's Helper training programs. This year we were able to raise $525 for the hospital based on attendance.
This years softball game willbe held on Thursday, September 25, 2014, and promises to again be a spirited affair. As always, all are welcome. If you would like to atend,or even play a few innings, please contact Mille at (718) 392-4156, or by e-mail at Mille@qbitti.com, to register to attend. The event is free, and in addition to watching an "exciting" game of softball, guests will also be treated to refreshments and a barbecue. And as always, at the end of the day QBITTI will donate money for every student who participates in the event either as a player or spectator. Let's try to break our previous record by donating more than $720.
Participation is by invitation only because of space limitations. If you would like to attend please contact QBITTI atleast 2 weeks prior to the event. If you would like to play on one of the teams, please contact QBITTI asap to insure a roster spot.
